When it was time for Henry to graduate from the crib to his big boy room, I was inspired by a page in Serena & Lily where the walls were painted in Wharf. I wanted to leave behind the baby pastels, and move on to brighter, playful colors. With the walls in Wharf, I decided on orange, green, baby blue and navy blue as the color palette. With him telling me his nursery rocker was too "baby" I went on a hunt for a new reading chair that was comfy but had more of a "big boy" look. To this day, the chair I found is my favorite thrift store treasure. Underneath a stack of old magazines and covered in dust was a mid century rocker.....and it was in hideous shape. Flea Finds
This post will have to be filed away and added to with treasures found at various flea markets / estate sales / garage sales. Like Christmas in my inbox, every Thursday I receive an email from 24-Seven Estate Sales. It is kind of a treasure hunt over email. Terry Lee and Fred preview with juicy details and pictures(!) all the upcoming weekend estates sales in the DFW area. What an amazing tool. But this past weekend was Dallas Flea, and I got a chance to sneak away and spend a couple of hours there....just two treasures for me this time, but had a blast browsing with friends!

Powder Perfection
My powder room needs a major face lift. Moving into our new home in a hurry meant putting off details like wallpaper. I've been searching for the perfect one....was determined to use a taupe grasscloth for a while, but have found a new obsession.....can hardly believe this is vertical mosaic tile!
