If you have an unhealthy obsession with vintage furniture, the name Dorothy Draper might make your ears perk up just a bit. If you have been on a lifelong hunt for her Espana dresser, you know that if you come across one under (and I mean WAY under) the $4900 they are fetching on EBay, you take it and run....even if it isn't authentic. Well, thanks to
Kristen, one man's trash is this woman's treasure. Now, the previous owner couldn't have known what she had on hand as (horror) the dresser was spray painted (!) a grayish white and the solid brass ring pulls were sprayed black! Don't have it in the budget to paint this lovely piece just yet(although working on inspiration....see below), but the handles were brass again with a little paint thinner and a straight razor. Thanks Kristen for this amazing find!
